Initially, GRT Jewellers started with small origins with a single jewelry store in Chennai. Now the growing number of customers, the number of GRT stores have multiplied over a period of time.

In 1964, GRT was initiated by G.Rajendran . GRT shop is affectionately called by its customers, start from small origins and soon became a household name in Chennai Tamilnadu, having for the purity of its gold, a wide range of designs, and consistent customer satisfaction.

GRT’s increased customer base made necessary the development of its retail. Also, the bigger showroom was built to give customers a satisfied shopping, as well as a good choice of collections. Silverware had its own floor, which is considered the biggest collection in India in a single place.
